Before I indulge in my monthly nerdfest of charts and data, I have to share the aftermath of my adventurous hike a few days ago: I think I got poison oak. Just a bit. I’m itchy all over my arms and legs. I haven’t broken out in rashes, except for a little bit, on the inside of my arm:
I totally knew when it happened, too. During one of the off-path parts of the hike, I stopped myself from pushing through some brush because the brush looks suspicious. I’m aware of the ‘leaves of three, let it be’ rule, and there were definitely leaves of three, so I turned and went a different way. Looks like I made contact, though. I’m glad it’s not worse.
Any poison oak / itchiness tips out there?
Anyway. I’ll survive. Let’s move on to my first-of-the-month weigh-in!
Down two pounds in July! I’m still in the three-pound range I’ve been in for the past year – and consistency is fan-freakin’-tastic!
Here’s my whole chart:
July was an awesome workout month. You all know how I log my workouts, right? Each workout gets a dot on my calendar, and a scribbled description of what was accomplished. I drew 27 dots in the month of July!
27 out of 31 days is also fan-freakin’-tastic!
Speaking of fan-freakin’-tastic… my Cardio Miles for July was fan-freakin’-tastic too! Check it out:
These are all the miles I covered doing all sorts of cardio: running, biking, machines at the gym… anything where I can track distance. I did 110.4 miles in July – a one-month record! About half of that was accomplished in 4 days, during some epic bike rides in Michigan. My running tally is now 3,317.7 miles, since I started tracking this four years ago.
Lots of celebrate this month… and lots to inspire me to keep going in August!
Keep it up, David!
