It just hit me. In exactly two weeks from today, I’ll be riding the coasters at Cedar Point! For any of you that aren’t familiar, Cedar Point is an amazing amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. It currently has 17 roller coasters, and is the only park on the planet to have 4 that are over 200 feet tall. It’s been named “Best Amusement Park in the World” for the past 13 consecutive years. Need I say more? It ROCKS.
I haven’t been to Cedar Point in 10 years. But I’m going in two weeks. I can’t wait!
You’ll be hearing LOTS about Cedar Point on this blog in the next couple weeks. For now, I’m gonna keep this post short and sweet (I’m really tired), and post a video of one of the rides I’m most excited about: Top Thrill Dragster. It’s 420 feet high, goes 120 mph, and since it was built after my last visit, I’ve never been on it. Check it out:
In other news, today was a rest day. I’ve exercised for the past 9 days in a row, so I was due. I did go with my sister, nephew, niece, and cousin for a walk to the playground – we were gone over an hour – so I wasn’t completely inactive. And tomorrow, we’re going for a hike in the mountains. I gotta remember to bring my camera!

I was at Cedar Point two weeks ago and loved top thrill dragster. I also loved Millennium Force which I had never riden before. I did not really like their brand new one called WindSeeker. It is just swings that go around way up high. You are going to have so much fun!!
I’ve read that WindSeeker is more fun at night, because it’s one of the more impressively lit rides. Our goal is to ride as much as we can, and I’m curious about Windseeker! -D
So jealous!! Do they still have superstar recording studios?! Sigh. That’s where I made my hit cassette tape single “Save the best for last!”
Mindy! I need to hear your version – my life won’t be complete without it. Dunno if superstar recording studios is still there – but will keep an eye out! Also for the booth where they take your picture and photoshop onto a Time Magazine “Man of the year” cover.
Hey David, I have been Cedar Point 6 or 7 times its amazing. I bet you have not thought about what it will feel like since you have lost the weight and now you can fit in the seats without worrying that you will not. The reason why I am saying this, is like you, I have lost about 120 pounds and now I can fit comfortably into the seats it almost like the airplane seat thing (all bigger sized people know what I and David are talking about) but, I know you can hardly wait so have fun David.
