Here’s a quick and fun update: My Facebook post about “Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian” caught the attention of the trainer featured on that show! As you may recall, my last post was Read the rest of this entry »

According To The Scale…

September 18, 2010

…I’m down three more pounds!   That’s 134 pounds in all.  When the number popped up on the scale this morning, I actually rubbed my eyes in disbelief, like when Shaggy and Scooby thought they saw a ghost, and after rubbing eyes, sure enough, it wasn’t there anymore.  Is every blog post is better with a Scooby-Doo reference, or is it just me?

I’ve really enjoyed, the past few months, the thought that I’ve lost the same amount of weight as some people weigh.  Take, for example, my 16-year-old cousin, Aaron, who clocks in around 115 pounds.  I laugh on the inside (and sometimes on the outside) with the notion that if he were to lose the same amount of weight that I have, he would just disappear.  Vaporize.  Poof – gone!  Since then I’ve also “lost” my friend Kristy (look at me embedding links like a pro), who’s about 117, and my friend Brian, about 125.  (Sorry for disclosing your weights… eh, I’m not that sorry.)  I’m sure I’ve lost other people in my life, too – but every gentleman knows it’s not polite to inquire about the weight of others.  Lord knows I lied about it for years and years anyway – just look at my driver’s license:

I got this license, with this photo, in 2002 – and up until a few months ago, I never actually weighed what it says I weigh.  Thank God the DMV just takes your word for it and doesn’t make you step up on a scale.

Oh!  This can be another Before and Current photo comparison moment!  So that’s Before (and 8 years younger), and here’s my face now:

It’s a little deer-in-the-headlights-ish, but it’ll do.

On another note, I’m taking the day off from working out.  I’ve earned a little break:  I’ve worked out the past 9 days in a row, if you count walking around Six Flags Magic Mountain for 8.5 hours, which I am – that day wore me out!  But I’ll be back in a gym tomorrow.

Keep it up, David!
