I love trying new varieties of fruits and vegetables. So I was very excited to see a basket of green vegetables at the store labeled “Shanghai.”

I’ve been using (and eating!) riced vegetables a lot lately. They’re just so easy and convenient. They cook quickly, can be added to so many dishes, and best of all, good for you! (For more riced vegetable ideas, click here, here, and here.) So, here’s another recipe involving riced vegetables. This time, I used riced broccoli as the basis for a delicious salad.

Earlier this week I rebooted “What’s In The Crockpot?” – a blog post that I used to do regularly. Guess what? Time for another reboot!
I have a whole archive of posts called “The Produce Aisle”, and each one is about a new-to-me fruit or veggie, that I brought home, researched, and cooked. It’s a way to expand my horizons and try new things, while still eating healthily, and there ain’t nothin’ wrong with that!

I’ve been in a radish kind of mood lately. Radishes are delightful: crunchy and spicy and downright delicious.
And guess what? They’re good for you! Radishes are a good source of fiber, vitamins C and B6, folate, manganese, and potassium. And since a cup of sliced radishes only has 19 calories, go nuts!

I suffered major sticker shock the other day. I made a quick stop at a supermarket, to pick up a watermelon to bring to a get-together. While looking for the melons, a lady offered me a free sample of a mango. Yes, please!
