48 Rainy Hours in Colorado. Hail, Too!

May 18, 2018

If you wanted to see some hail in May, you should’ve been in Colorado last weekend. Last Saturday evening, during a brief but violent storm, it hailed pebbles of ice.

I’ve lived in Los Angeles for nearly 16 years, where Read the rest of this entry »

ART SWAP! I Drew a Maze For a Friend, and Wait Until You See What He Created For Me

May 25, 2017

I’m a poet’s muse! I did an art swap with my friend Josh Lefkowitz from college. He’s an accomplished, award-winning, published poet, and I draw mazes (that win awards in my own head). So we did a trade. He wrote a poem for me, and I drew a maze for him.

The poem is incredible. This isn’t some nursery rhyme or greeting card pablum, it’s, like, literature. Wanna read it? Read the rest of this entry »

Foot Update AND Solve My Tree Maze

October 29, 2014

Being laid up with an injured foot means lots of time sitting around. A few days ago I took advantage of my being unable to walk around and drew a maze. Check it out:

GET LOST… In a Maze!

January 27, 2014

This is an exciting post for me to write, because I get to share something that I’ve devoted a lot of effort to in recent months: I’ve started a business!

About two years ago, I blogged about how having a hobby is an important tool in my healthy living arsenal. Doing something productive during my downtime helps curb cravings and engage my mind. I can’t tell you how many times, while relaxing in front of the TV, I’ve thought about all the junk food I wanted to eat right now, and how many times I acted on that urge. But once I added a hobby into the mix – something that required a little focus – Voila! Those urges went away. For me, that hobby is drawing mazes. Mazes like this one:
