Hello, Willis Tower!
You may know this towering skyscraper as Sears Tower. I know it as the home to the tallest stairwell in the Western Hemisphere and the tallest stair race, too!

Another weekend, another race, another finishers medal!
This one was earned at What The Hill?, a 5-ish mile trail race in Rochester Hills, Michigan. (They actually use “5-ish miles” to promote the event!) It was an extraordinarily difficult event – by far the hardest trail race I’ve ever done. (Which isn’t saying a lot, because this is only my fourth.)

The other day I was working from home, sitting in my living room, my laptop on my lap. I was updating a spreadsheet when the quiet was punctured by a sudden, horrific crash. There was a violent clanging of medal, and a heavy thud, and then it was quiet again. It only took a second to realize that my rack of race medals had fallen off the wall.
