Three days, three great workouts – and all three had a big vertical component. Going vertical is hard work: you’re lifting your entire body weight, whether it’s up stairs, a hill, or an incline on the treadmill. It’s great for your legs, and great for your heart.

Recently, while flipping through the channels, I stumbled upon a new show called “Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian.” I’m not a Kardashian fan, and have never watched any of their shows, but two days later, as a result of tuning in, I completed a killer workout on some awesome stairs.

I switched up my workouts before last weekend’s Hike the Halo race. I bumped up my running, and did a couple workouts specifically designed to help me prepare. Both those workouts involved… lots and lots of stairs. (Surprise, surprise!)
