Five Stair Races in the Next Three Months… I Need Your Help!

October 2, 2017

The end of the year is coming soon, but there’s no time to rest. I’ve done seven stair races so far in 2017, and I’ve got five more lined up between now and the end of December!

Photo from the US Bank Tower race a week and a half ago, taken on the final flight of stairs, 75 stories up!

I’ll be racing in four different cities – including two I’ve never raced in before. I’m Read the rest of this entry »

My Race Registration Blitz… May I Have Some Money, Pretty Please With Sugar on Top?

September 5, 2016

Hope everyone had a fun long weekend. I spent most of it stuck on the couch, thanks to my bum foot. I binge-watched every episode of “Stranger Things” (loved it), but I was also productive: I registered for some autumn stair races!

Race Recap: Hike the Halo 2014

December 15, 2014

Today’s lesson, ladies and gentlemen, is to never underestimate a race. That’s exactly what I did over the weekend, when I went to Anaheim to compete in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 3rd Annual Hike the Halo event. This race is a hybrid, with both stairs and running, and it’s held in an awesome venue: Angel Stadium.

August 25, 2014

I’m super excited about this post, but before I spill the beans about my big announcement, I have a video to share! My sister challenged me to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, so here’s the video of me getting a bucket of ice water dumped over my head:

Anything for charity, am I right?

OK. Announcement time! Last month, I Read the rest of this entry »

My New Goal: Racing 3,000+ Steps!

October 14, 2013

It’s been 2.5 weeks since I completed my last fitness challenge: racing up the 75-story US Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles. Around the same time, I reached a big goal I’d been working on since June, my 274-mile CARDIO TO VEGAS challenge. So… I’m due for some new challenges!

And I found some doozies!

I’ve signed up for TWO new races, both of which I’ve never done before. They’re both Read the rest of this entry »
