I’ve done eight stadium races in the past five years, at three different southern California stadiums (Angel Stadium, the LA Memorial Coliseum, and the Rose Bowl). My ninth stadium race was this past weekend at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, and it was longer and harder than any of the others.
On Thursday, I woke up feeling ill. Typical cold symptoms: sneezy, snotty, stuffed up. On Friday, I felt a little better. On Saturday, I felt a lot worse. On Sunday… I competed in a stair race.

The end of the year is fast approaching, and I’m in the home stretch with my 2016 races. My last two are both in December, and the first was on Saturday, at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
