It’s been a while since I’ve done a giveaway, but recently, the perfect opportunity presented itself. My friend Joanne got coupons for free yogurt directly from Siggi’s, and she gave me a few. I’ve decided to pay it forward. Keep reading to learn how you can win two free cups of Siggi’s Yogurt!
What a difference 45 minutes makes. That’s all I needed to go from looking like this…
…to becoming a sweaty, exhausted mess:
Raw brussels sprouts are definitely trendy right now. I’ve seen raw brussels sprout dishes on TV cooking shows and online, and food companies are getting onboard. I’ve only seen brussels sprouts packaged whole before, but in the past couple months, I’ve seen them shaved or sliced – perfect for raw applications – in a bunch of stores, including Trader Joe’s and Target, where I picked up this Green Giant bag:
Brussels sprouts are in the cabbage family, so when Read the rest of this entry »
Yikes! I’m over a week late with my March weigh-in results! I didn’t actually weigh myself until the 4th, after getting back from Las Vegas, and I delayed this post to get all three of my Vegas posts written and published (read them here, here and here).
Let’s not delay things any longer!
I stayed even. I’ll take it. Maintaining is a win! My weight Read the rest of this entry »
Despite the great food at the Bellagio and Wynn that I blogged about yesterday, my favorite meal during my Las Vegas trip was at a diner a couple miles from the Strip. We wanted a quick meal before the drive back to LA, and this place showed up as a nearby option. We didn’t know a lick about it before pulling up, and it was a fantastic surprise.

After the race, my pal Tavi and I returned to the top of the Stratosphere (via elevator this time) with the sole purpose of riding one of the thrill rides that are on the tower’s roof, 900 feet off the ground. There are also binoculars up there, and only a few handrails between you and certain death:
The ride we chose is called Insanity, and that’s a fitting name. You sit in Read the rest of this entry »
Stair climb races are brutal. Just brutal. I competed in my 6th stair race over the weekend, and when I got to the top of the 1,455 steps in the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, I pretty much collapsed in a heap. This is about a minute after crossing the finish line, and my heart is still pounding:
Now that you know I finished (and am still alive), I’ll go back a little bit. If you’ve never been to Las Vegas, the Stratosphere is a hotel and casino at the north end of the Strip that features the tallest observation tower in the United States. It’s a impressive, imposing structure that you can see from all over town.
Naturally, it only gets taller as you get closer. Check it out from Read the rest of this entry »
