TUNE-IN ALERT! I’m going to be on “The Doctors” this Thursday, January 5th! The show’s topic is “Weight Loss Secrets From A-Z” and unless I got edited out (always a possibility), I’ll be featured in a video with Richard Simmons taped at Slimmons! Read about what happened at the taping here, and click here to find out when it airs in your town!

My first blog post in 2012! Happy New Year, everyone!
I had a wonderful, fun, and healthy week in the Caribbean, but I’m glad to be home – sleeping in my own bed for the first time in 2 weeks felt great, and I love having regular, high-speed internet access! I’m still exhausted – getting home from Puerto Rico yesterday took a looooong time. There were no delayed flights or lost suitcases (thank god), but from the moment I arrived at the airport in San Juan to the moment I walked through my door, nearly 18 hours had elapsed. Plus, I had been up for 6 hours already in Puerto Rico… meaning I was awake for 24 continuous hours, excluding some slight dozing on the plane (I can’t sleep well on planes, because I can never get comfortable enough, thanks to my long legs and the fact that my head rises higher than the back of the seat – three cheers for being 6’4″!).
There is a lot to share from the past week. I have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of photos I’m still sorting through, and yesterday at the airport, I mapped out a plan on how to share it all in fun, exciting ways. It’s gonna take more than 1 blog post, that’s for sure!
I’m actually gonna head back to bed for now. I’m still beat, but I’m awake because I forgot to turn off my alarm before crashing last night at 3am. I’ll start writing about the cruise a little later today. In the meantime, I thought I’d share a quick ‘before’ and ‘current’ photo comparison.
BEFORE: This is me in 2007, when I went on an Alaska cruise with my family. I’m standing in front of a small seaplane that I rode in during one of the stops:

CURRENT: Here I am in front of the Adventure of the Seas, the cruise ship I spent the last week on:

KEEP IT UP, DAVID!

Glad your back, looking forward to you next posts and I already set my DVR to record you on Thursday.
